I thoroughly enjoyed this book. KB has an amazing capacity for storytelling, expository reading of scripture, and illustrating the heart of God to a world that desperately needs it.
Being a Latino Christian who went from a racially and ethnically diverse church environment to one that was predominantly white/evangelical, portions of the book like “Dangerous Justice” really resonate with me and my personal experience.
Additionally, as a long-time fan of KB and Southside Rabbi, it was incredibly cathartic to see KB flesh out ideas he’s platformed both in his music and podcast in a literary work. However, the book is able to stand on its own without the context of listening to the podcast or KB’s previous music (though you should definitely still listen).
All this to say, Dangerous Jesus is one of my favorite reads this year. If you have a chance to read it, please do. If you’ve already read it, definitely gift a copy to someone who could use it. God Bless!!
One of my favorite books, will remain in my collection for a good long time.
