In John 15 Jesus states: “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing”. Branches are an important part of a tree - without them a fruit tree has no place for leaves to grow and fruit to hang, but make no mistake, branches only grow due to the Vine; if a branch is not connected to the vine it cannot live since it derives it’s source of life and nutrients from the vine itself. Jesus shows us here that if we seek to bear fruit and live for Him we need to stay connected to him as the source (The Vine). It is Jesus who provides us with everything we need to live a Godly life in Christ Jesus - without Him we have no life. Just as a branch cannot exist apart from the vine, we cannot exist apart from God. If we are to bear much fruit we must stay connected to The Vine for apart from Him we are, and can do, nothing.
As we rock this shirt, we proclaim to all that Jesus is our everything and without him we are nothing.
